While I know no one cares I still feel compelled to share it with you:

a) I am pretty sure that we are getting (sort of) stepsibling love. The hero's adoptive father is in all likelihood the heroine's real father. I cannot tell you how much delight I feel on seeing this appear on my screen

b) there have been murder and foul deeds done by Secondary Male Lead's batty mum - the killing of the heir to a large corporation so her son (sadly illegitimate and therefore a SHAME to the family) can inherit.

IT IS ALL SO EXCITING. Can a terminal illness be far behind? I can only hope that someone runs someone over with a car before the final episode.

Hee, I think that's probably the only time a person can sit and say, "Terminal illness for the win! Whoo!" and not get labelled a heartless and cruel human being.

These shows sound very entertaining. I have to say soaps like Emmerdale or Coronation Street and Fair City don't interest me much. It's usually just a bunch of people shouting or being stupid. But step-sibling love? Murder and foul deals? That I can get behind.

They are so very entertaining. And what's best is that they're time limited - 11-20 episodes and it's over and you can start up on the next drama's delightful set of melodramatic situations. *tries to lure you to the dark side by mentioning that many of them are available in fansubbed versions on lj*

I always love it when they fling an incurable illness into the mix. Except for Silence where despite the melodrama I cried buckets because I really cared for the OTP.

Vehicular amnesia for the win.

These posts are so helpful! My mom is always pestering me for her next fix to find more K-dramas for her and trying to figure out the plots is crazy difficult.

I am so happy to spread the addiction around. Your mum should totally get this one because I have found it tremendously enjoyable even if the plots cannot quite match the cracktastic nature of Stairway to Heaven. (I think the Secondary Male Lead Who I Refuse to Name Because I Don't Like Him is related to crazy eyed girl in Stairway to Heaven.)
