I actually like the emo brother. Can't help it :) Actually like the drama itself quite a lot and would watch it eve without LJK, which is a rarity for me. No idea why it is...
But I'll let you know if his emoness or his presence lessens. Since you seem very heroine oriented (I am the opposite, if I like the hero, I don't particularly care who/how the girl is) this might not be your thing actually, because this has a much less significant heroine role than a lot of kdramas.
Re: StH. I haven't seen it. I might enjoy it, no idea, but I find that sometimes the really popular and 'traditional' kdramas don't click with me much (Love Story in Harvard is one of only 4 I gave up :P). Sometimes they do though (Bali), so it's a crapshoot.
