Sep. 16th, 2008 02:26 amIt really should be possible to punch people who post smug comments on the financial crisis along the lines of 'well, I got out of stocks months ago/years ago/at the right time because I'm SMART.' Bonus points if they then lecture everyone about the evils of people not knowing the value of a nickel and how they in fact have never bought anything on credit* and mock those who do. There's a time and a place for everything, and that's not when people are freaking out about the next depression being upon us. Smug gits.
*Strangely, while you can blame credit cards for a lot of things, given the scale of risk, government lack of regulation, and corporate greed being revealed, I do not feel the collapse of Lehmann Brothers is one of them.
