Yesterday I went to my first skating class and it was awesome. I had had a really rotten day and was completely shattered but I decided to drag me and my skates out there and it was so much fun. I didn't fall over! I remembered (sort of) some of the classes I had years ago, including the all important rule of bend your knees so you don't fall over backwards. There were quite a lot of us but they divided us into two groups; I decided to stay with the people that don't know nothing which I feel was a wise decision.

Sadly, today I think I am coming down with something; I am really exhausted and ache all over and not in the 'I just skated way.' You have no idea how much time it took me to do anything. I bet I am one very sad and grumpy camper as I teach tomorrow (for which I am still only half-prepared, woes)

Er, I was convinced that I had something really fun and interesting to say when I started this post, but I guess I was wrong. I am guessing you won't find it interesting that I somehow managed to consume half a packet of Jaffa Cakes, so that can't be it.

More, as more happens.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a bad day, but the skating sounds fun! I'm impressed that you've been taking classes in interesting things like Hindi and skating. Go you! I miss learning new things, but have been way too lazy and unmotivated lately.

Bad day wasn't so bad really; I think I was just all grumpy because I feel a bit under the weather. After last year where I really did very little I felt I had to make an effort to do something new - hence the skating and Hindi. It's nice because in neither of those does it matter if I'm good at it- I'm just going to have fun, which I am!
