Hee hee, I can't wait to see your pic spam of "Paper Back Writer" where Hugh plays the truckdriver who is writes romance novels under a pseudonym.

Apparently this entire thing is based on some song or other about a guy who chases a wild horse down a cliff.

What??? You don't know the Man from Snowy River? :D I never watched the series Snowy but you HAVE to watch the movie the man from snowy river, starring Tom Burlinson and Sigrid Thornton. :D There's a cameo from Kirk Douglas, causing all number of outrage among the Australian Actor's Equity that they had to important a damned American to be in a classic Australian drama :D

The Man From Snowy River was based on the poem of the same name by A. B. "Banjo" Paterson. The poem is absolutely awful, full text here except for maybe the lines:

"And down by Kosciusko, where the pine-clad ridges raise
Their torn and rugged battlements on high,
Where the air is clear as crystal, and the white stars fairly blaze
At midnight in the cold and frosty sky,"

Anyway, it was used quite effectively in a "Keep Australia Beautiful" (anti-littering) campaign.
