When you dabble in doramas it is bound to happen

*Sigh* I somehow managed to ebay something ('Say Yes Enterprises') that only has Chinese subtitles. I could go and scream at Ebay but it is entirely my fault for not being more perceptive and actually looking closer at the auction. Woes! Because the show actually looks quite good but I have no idea what is going on not knowing a word of Chinese. I guess I could just make up plots and admire the pretty people but I do not think that would entertain me for more than a few episodes.

That sucks! I can't find a subbed version at either d-addicts or jdramas either.

Maybe it's a sign you should watch Majo No Jouken. Or A Love To Kill. Both easily downloadable :)

Maybe...Though based on that music video you posted I was all ready to ebay 'Devil beside you', but it is hard to work out what has English subs and what doesn't.

DBY does have English subs in this version (which is what I got). I have no idea how good they are but the one cap of subs doesn't look horrible and the seller does say good:

Oh, sorry to hear about that! But let me tell you that it happens a lot! I mean, the proportion of doramas with English subtitles is very small comparing to the enormity of production! And as they are very popular among Asian countries and China is the one that releases almost everything, the simplest option is the Chinese subs.

I think all the original doramas I own have Chinese or Japanese subtitles, only one have English subs... The rest is thanks to the work of the fansubs people, who in my opinion won their place in heaven (even with bad English. If it wasn't for them we couldn't watch any dorama properly!)

I bought the ones with Chinese subs because is either watch them that way or not watch them at all... and I'm very weak ;)

Maybe if you had a party with lots of drunken friends and made up the dialogue together??

I love the fansub people! It's astonishing how much work they do for nothing - whenever I get all whiny about why something isn't dubbed I think about how wonderful it is that there are people out there willing to do this and feel ashamed of myself.

What is annoying/ironic about all of this is that I had a friend who used to live right up the road (but has since moved far away) who used to watch these all the time and I could have been watching them with her then, but didn't realise their wonders at the time. And as she was Chinese she could have told me about actual plot things even when there were no subtitles. *shakes fist at fate*

And I will probably watch this at some point, or at least the stories I liked the plots of (it is a set of interrelated stories) because I am very weak too!

Thanks for the link. God, I will be bankrupt at the end of this! Well, poorer at any rate. :)

I know that I could dl some of this stuff but I am lazy and sometimes would just prefer to buy it. I wish there was a way to buy it and support the fansub people though.

*ponders idea* I feel people might get a little weary by episode 8 or so, though and start falling asleep... :)
