Smallville: when did they all stop being pretty?

I haven't seen this show in forever and I am saddened that time has not been kind to the entire absurdly pretty cast of yesteryear. Or perhaps it was just the camera work because it extended to most of them - even Kristen Kreuk and Tom Welling. Oh, time, why must you wither them and stale their infinite variety?

True for you. Watching last week's episode (season 6 only started here, the blackguards! making us wait like that!), I found myself wondering how long more we're supposed to believe Tom Welling as being a young man in his late teens/early twenties. He still looks fine though. *sigh*

In this one he looked mid-twenties at the best. Not at all like he ought to be still wandering around the farm. Are they all finished with school now? They look like 4th year college students at least.

They're supposed to be in college, or at least they all got into college but they don't seem to spend much time there.

Which probably proves the point that they are actually college students. Heh.

I stopped watching in season 3, but ITA from the pictures I've seen. I think TW looked better before he bulked up.

He is also looking a bit worn to be a freshfaced teenager any longer. Same for all of them (except for MR who appears to have sold his soul to the devil and hence does not age). It could be the camera work as well.

MR doesn't seem to look as sleek as he has in seasons past. He seems a bit fuller of face of late.

The camera work doesn't seem to be doing Annette O'Toole any favours either and she's lovely looking. Poor woman.
