I figured the centurians were trying to kill all the humans in that ambush, but only decided to capture her once they saw she was still alive.

ITA about Adama keeping Tigh on as his XO. I don't think he's interested in trying to conciliate the fleet at this point unfortunately. He's still thinking I'll order them to do what I want.
