Eurovision

Well, I was sort of disappointed that Ukraine with their awesome nearly naked Roman lads dancing around didn't place higher. They were AWESOME. And, god, I HATED the UK song. I was astonished it did so well. We all gave it Null Points.

I was discussing the song with my husband. It was bland enough to appeal to enough tastes. (like the song from Norway)

But at least with the Norwegian song I can imagine singing it and having it stick in my mind (which is sort of what you want with Eurovision songs - catchy and something you might warble along to); the UK one sounded like a reject from a bad musical (which I guess it probably was) and unsingable unless you had her voice. Plus Andrew Lloyd Weber scares me in person.

He wrote the melody specifically for eurovision. But if being ALW it sounds like everything else he has written.

I understood that all the points were for Andrew LW playing the piano, not for the song itself. :D

Romans were great, but the song was too screechy - I had to leave the room. :D

We were using the BBC scorecards and almost gave it points for props on that front, but decided he was sort of creepy!

Ukraine were robbed! :) Okay, the Norwegian song was sort of catchy but still!
