Robin of Sherwood

I have been so madly, ridiculously busy lately that it's been horrible. But still: I have watch more Robin of Sherwood. I am through the tragic death and starting in with the introduction of inferior Robin. But even though I do find Jason Connery rather wooden and no match for Michael Praed, I do find the brawl between him and Will hilarious. Complete with random goats and the guy who won't arrest them because his brother serves such good ale.

ETA: The first Robin of Huntington episodes win the bad hair title hands down. So many mullets and so few excuses for them.

I loved that show. The excuse for the mullets is: it was the 80s. :)

I forgive this show everything, even the mullets.

I adore that brawl scene! And my sister and I have been quoting the Watch's "We're. Very. Nearly. Ready" scene (to great hilarity) for years :-).
Ah, the mullets. Gotta love the mullets, in a twisted kind of way.

Guy of Ginsburg! I love the hilarious versions of his last name.

Of course you don't want to potential hurt the provider of the good ale. You're the one who suffers.

Mullets are one of those hairstyles that should not exist.

The Middles Ages were so horrible that only a fool would cut off the ale supply. The only thing that made like bearable.

I remember the gorgeous red-headed Maid Marion and the slashy undertones of the relationship between the Sheriff and Guy. I also treasure the one episode with Valentine Pelka, who I got to love later when he played Kronos on Highlander, one of their better villains. Poor Michael Praed - I don't think his career went anywhere after this.
Robin - the glory of mullets and perms in medieval England.

Don't forget Gundar and Richard O'Brien's ridiculous overacting. Good stuff all round.

Marion is fabulous. Easily my favourite Marion ever. In fact, this is probably my favourite filmed version of the story, mullets and all.

Medieval England. Forget the other stuff. It's all about the guys, the gays and the mullets. Really. No Really. No kidding.
