Somewhere my credit card is weeping

I just spent a ridiculous amount of money to become a season ticket subscriber to Los Angeles Opera. It was the Parsifal combined with the world premiere of Grendel that sent me over the edge into madness.

Still have not written the two things that are due next week, but next year I will be seeing many pretty operas. So something has been achieved: the spending of vast sums of cash.
