With apologies for this LJ turning into the journal of cranky, upset bitterness of late. On the plus side, I did get season 1 of Spooks/MI-5 in the post, and it has a hilarious blurb on the back filled with many sayings of patriotic import which I will share with you at some point (honestly, this show has no sense of irony or restraint at all on that front. I think it is why I often find myself laughing happily through entire episodes where people are being blown up right left and centre.). I think I shall also do a picspam at some point on Tom Quinn, the Third Saddest Spy in the History of the World and his tragic private life. It should cheer me up. (It's a pity one could not get an icon of him could fit 'Third Saddest Spy in the History of the World' on and still have the text visible.)

But here is the question: I need to translate a Latin word licentia, license as in 'license to do what ever you want.' Problem is that I feel that license is a) archaic and b) now not a terribly strong word, and the Latin one is. I've thinking about alternatives and the closest I can come up with anarchy, which I think is. And I thought one of you lovely people might have a better suggestion/idea.

GIP!

Look at what [livejournal.com profile] shinyjenni made for me! Doesn't he look like he is contemplating a lovely swim in the North Sea?
