Really shameful things I want:

1. Fiction where Catherine of Aragon and Thomas More run off to the colonies and have babies and are all decent and dignified together. Of course, you'd have to kill off all of More's family or make him single, but it's a small price to pay for both of them having a happy ending. I AM NOT KIDDING ABOUT THIS.

2. The next episode of Mawang to be subtitled. I need to find out what is happening next and as I know not a word of Korean my mad speculations about unsubtitled episodes are based on nothing other than 'hey, look at the pretty people angst.'

3. School to be over. 4 more teaching days is 4 too many.

4. Wretched article to be finished. This is the only thing I can actually do anything about, so, of course, I am dithering about it as it's in those final stages where you know you need to fix things but when you fix one thing it means that other transitions don't work and other things don't fit.

ETA: Why is all The Tudors fic (please don't judge me for looking!) about boring old Henry and various tedious twits of the court and none of it about Catherine? Or Thomas More? THE INTERNET HAS FAILED ME. WOES!

1. YES. You are not alone! Perhaps it's just that Catherine and Thomas are the best characters by far, but I ship their TV versions madly. The two of them deserve to escape from the dreadfulness of The Tudors and ride off happily into the sunset together.

I really wish I could find this story but I am too afraid to look. As to the latter I can't see Thomas More running off and leaving his family no matter how much he loves Catherine and we know he does. But he is too noble a person to ever desert anyone. Sniffle.

I only got to see the first couple of episodes of the Tudors, but the whole Jeremy Northam as More thing really threw me because I teach Utopia every spring and here I was crushing on him. Perhaps his lovely family could be slaughtered by cruel Henry thus giving him the motive to not only run off with Catherine but also get some Shaolin-style revenge as well? (Er, sorry, Enter the Dragon was on last night.)

Given that The Tudors seems to gaily abandon history when it suit them this should be how the second season plays out! IT WOULD BE A BOLD AND SATISFYING MOVE.

I keep watching this hoping that Catherine will punch Henry in the face and demand her dowry back or something but she is all still madly in love with him. He'll be sorry once he has to put up with all of Anne's useless relatives and her boring self!
