I've just realized that I own Spring Waltz, a Korean drama which features the almost preternaturally good-looking Daniel Henney. Admittedly he's not the lead but still! Melodrama, ahoy! While I am looking forward to having people over tonight getting rid of some of my unwiser choices in my drinks cabinet, still part of me pines to see him being disturbingly attractive on the telly.

And probably as this is one of those tear-jerkers he'd also have to cry. And almost certainly stand around in the rain/cold/snow/hail/whatever other thing a tormented secondary character stands around in.

the male lead in Spring Waltz(which I, too have but have not watched) is also incredibly pretty.

You should watch it...so I have someone to delight in the angst with! Go on, you know you'd like the pretty.

I too would like to watch Daniel being unhumanly good looking on the telly. But I don't think I could stand watching the super angsty kdramas. I can barely take the minimal perfunctory angst that comes with the romantic comedy ones...!!

If my experience with some of the big tear-jerkers is anything to go by (Stairway to Heaven, I'm looking at you) at some point the angst becomes so over the top that it becomes just crackatstic and hard to take seriously. The big exception was Tree of Heaven which made me cry my eyes out.

But I find it a lot easier to take in these than in ones which start off mild and then veer off into dark, dark territory.

I totally need to watch this. And pssssst...you need to watch The Outsiders. It's (shock) even better than Mars.

Also I need someone to blab with :)

Re SW. The main lead ain't bad looking either.

The Outsiders sounds far too traumatic, I'm afraid. I am not sure I can handle it.

The main lead is alright but his charms are lost in the awesome glow of Daniel Henney's perfectness.

LOL. Daniel Henney looks too angular to me, if it makes any sense (which is doesn't, I know :D)

Re: The Outsiders. It's angsty but not depressing if it makes any sense.

Actually, I know what you mean, but that's part of what I like. It's also the reason why I astoundingly think that the second lead in Full House is more attractive than Rain. I know, I know... *hangs head in shame*

Daniel was just adorable in My Name Is Kim Sam-soon. God I wanted to marry him. So so bad.

I think I might be getting this one next, after I finish up Spring Waltz.
