BSG and Heretical Opinions

Because I have too much work to do and don't want to do any of it I have been looking around various ljs that reference BSG. And I have realised that I may well be the only person on the entirity of lj who thinks that Helo is unattractive. Caprica's lighting is doing him no favours in the looks department that I can see.

There is a surprising amount of Helo love that I can see from my totally non-scientific survey. I'm not sure why, but it's there.

I think Helo is kinda cute (but yeah, subjective), and I felt terribly sorry for him the whole of first season, being lab rat in a maze for Cylons. Plus, Boomer/Helo has the frakked up angst I like in my OTPs.

I had sympathy for him in the start, but it wore off. The pairing has the opportunity for mad angst, but somehow I just can't get aboard that 'ship.

The stupidity I see, the pretty not at all. Still, though, there is plenty of other prettiness on the show so I don't really mind.

There is far too much unexplained Helo love out there. I would argue it is reflected Starbuck glory, but she wasn't on the planet with him most of the time.

I think people like him because he's tall ;) Heh! Seriously, he was all heroic in the miniseries and all, but there's no depth to him - and it took all of a season for me to not be yawning whenever he appeared because everyone else had these complicated stories and Helo's was "run, Helo, run." I like him more with Starbuck in like, eight minutes this season than I did all of last season.

I don't actually *hate* him, but I just find him dull.
