He Knew He was Right

I had this on my Tivo for a while and I have finally settled down to watch it. It is excellent, probably more so in the subplots than the main one (about a man who goes mad and becomes convinced his wife is cheating on him, ruining his and her life in the process). It really is quite heartbreaking, especially when the husband steals their child and leaving his wife pleading with a police officer, who points out that he has the perfect right to do so. Oh, the Victorian period, how glad I am that I am not living then.

It also has David Tennant in it, who is putting in an excellent performance as a weasely and two-timing minister (no one write this sort of cleric like Antony Trollope). He has just been beaten about the head by his erst-while fiancee, who is sort of terrifying, especially as she is now secreting carving knives in her chest of drawers. But not in her drawers. Yet.

ETA: How can I be managing to edit this rotten article so that it is even worse? And I hate the book that I am supposed to be integrating and all I can think of to say is that I don't agree with it and it is rubbish. Which is not terribly convincing as an argument. Feck, I should probably just finish it and foist it on my readers.
