What I particularly love is how everyone on the show tells Guy Who Was In Russian Prisons and Got Tattoos "OMG HOW YOU ARE MALNOURISHED AND SUFFERED" while Richard Armitage looks totally fine (except for the manpain) and perfectly healthy. Like he's been away for some awesome holiday where they made him work out and eat well and generally take care of himself.



HIS EX-WIFE! SHE BECAME A SPY WHEN THAT RUSSIAN DUDE THAT MI-5 KILLED LATER OUT OF REVENGE TOLD HER SHE COULD GET HIM OUT OF JAIL. AND NOW SHE IS TRAPPPPPED AND HAS TO ALSO SPY FOR THE ENGLISH AND IT'S ALL HIS FAULT BECAUSE SHE KNEW HE WAS IN PAIN BECAUSE OF THE TATTOOS (seriously, this was part of why she became a spy. Except she muttered something about 'they showed me pictures of what you had done to your skin'). I figure that should be great for about another 90 years of guilt and suffering.

I cannot tell you how much I hope for them to have mad guilty sex even though she has remarried (well, she thought he was dead) and has a kid. THEN WE WOULD HAVE MANPAIN AND WOMANLY ANGUISH ALL IN ONE.

LOL I drifted from this season after I think #4 but you are inspiring me to get back in and rewatch.

(It was pretty fun except for the parts where I was all distracted w/ my brain going "OMG TATTOOED MR THORNTON PLZ DO ME NOW" on a loop until he wasn't on the scene anymore)

I don't really care about much else except Mr. Thornton's awesome suffering. And the stuff with his wife? It's like fine wine. Made of pain and suffering, to be sure, but still fine wine.

Richard Armitage + tattoos + pain + sexy limber body. There is no bad there. I found a website which has screen clips for each episode that he is in. I've studied them closely for artistic content. In conclusion - Richard Armitage is one fine sexy man. SEXY! Guilt, Suffering and Sex! A fabulous combination.

It's quite amazing how getting tossed into a Russian jail for 8 years makes you an incredibly hot guy. I pretty much watch the show for him. And his tortured longing for his ex-wife, which makes him even hotter...

I MUST SEE the tatoos. But!! Everyone seems to have a tatoo or two in Britain - why is he upset? He has hammer and sickle as a tatoo?

The tattoos aren't even in Russian! And not even a sickle, let alone a hammer. But I tell you one thing, they do good work in those Russian prisons. Those are quality work.

I LURVE his man pain here! The last few eps of this season are very exciting but with a lack of Mr Armitages chest which I feel would have helped the plot along greatly ;-p

I enjoy the show every minute he is on, even though it is often very ridiculous and I couldn't care less about the rest of them. I'm sure they're very interesting, but they just can't compete on the tortured pain stakes.

OK, I have never had even the slightest interest in Spooks but now I am intrigued.

Also, why are tattoos a big deal? The other day I saw a guy with both his arms tattooed the whole way around, up and down the whole length of each arm. He appeared pretty happy...

I really wish that the Guy who Returned from Russian Prisons with Mad Emo Tattoos' relationshion with his Ex-wife was a bigger part of the show, because it is TOTALLY awesome. The rest of the spy stuff is pretty average and not that interesting but watching the two of them together is just off the charts amazing. And very Kdrama.

(( don't know why the tattoos are a big deal. Except because they are a sign of his manpain. And the fine workmanship of Russian jails. No doubt that anguishes him.)
