Aug. 31st, 2009 09:38 pmHUGH JACKMAN'S PAST HAS RETURNED TO HAUNT HIM. AND THEY TOOK HIS SHIRT OFF. I would apologize for spamming your flist with this, but it is only 9 episodes and so you won't be bothered long.
OMG HE KILLED AN ENTIRE SHIP OF PEOPLE BY STEERING IT ONTO SOME ROCKS. I do not think there was a hat involved.
Still no Guy Pearce.
ETA: I love how the MacGregors discuss all of Jackman's deep trauma right in front of a complete stranger they have over for dinner. Niiiice.
HAHAHHAHAH. There is a great haunting scene with Jackman with actual ghosts descending on him.
ETA 2: This show has some of the most beautifully awful acting I have ever seen. It makes me weepy, it is so terrible. Plus, I think the Pastor's wife (the pastor is also a MacGregor) may have been a whore in the past.
ETA 3: Well, those were disappointing resolutions: no whoring, Jackman was cured and all is right with the world.
ETA 4: I don't know where Guy Pearce's cattle drive was going - possibly Antarctica - but it is taking the longest time ever. Though he is on the credits for every show. LIARS. I am sure you will be excited to know that this episode involves gypsy flamenco dancers. FOR REAL. One of them has an accordion.
ETA 5: I think the gypsy episode may have been my favourite of all. There was also a thief with a hook and prejudice. Which the MacGregors resolved because that's the sort of people they are.

Date: 2009-09-01 06:40 am (UTC)THE GYPSY EPISODE IS GREAT. ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE ONE WHERE JACKSON HEEDS THE CALL OF THE SEA ONCE MORE. That came right out of the blue.

Date: 2009-09-01 08:38 am (UTC)But it's 66 episodes! I am enjoying the cheesy joy of it, but not that much.
I find it hard to describe. It really is like Little House on the Prairie mixed with Young Riders and perhaps a little Bonanza. And topped with cheese.
