Holiday Cheer (Sort of)
Dec. 8th, 2005 10:15 pmHaving been forced to listed to a choir singing 'Ding Dong, Merrily on High' (or however that song is punctuated) I feel what this season is lacking is a solid atheist songbook. I spent the day wondering what tune you could set 'God is Dead (For we have killed him)' to. Because nothing says Christmas like Nietzsche.
I have so far come up with the titles of a few songs, but alas have no lyrics:
'Hark! I hear the eggnog calling! (and it better have rum in it)'
'You do know it's all about shopping, don't you?'
'Gloria in vino mero' (vino mero = undiluted wine)
'O wondrous day of family rows'
