Apart from Ghost Light, I haven't seen any of the McCoy episodes since they came out and I sort of stopped in the middle then. And Ghost Light probably wasn't the one to start in on as it made my head hurt and left me with much rage at what the writers so coyly described as 'dialogue.'

So for those who are McCoy fans, between Remembrance of the Daleks and Curse of Fenric which would be better as a second attempt at Seven? I'd really like a plot which makes some actual sense and doesn't strain anyone's acting skills beyond what it is probably reasonable to expect.

My favourite of the two is Fenric, but Remembrance is probably your better bet for the reasons you state. As for Ghost Light, here's another view...

Thanks for the recommendation.

BTW, I still can't use the link. Now I am really intrigued.

That's a shame, because in addition to a full and comprehensible explanation of Ghost Light, the link also contains directions to the lost city of Atlantis, and a proof of Fermat's Last Theorem in the margin...

to a full and comprehensible explanation of Ghost Light,

See, that's where I know you are lying.

While I have the mad passionate love for Curse of Fenric, it is a little convoluted and there's a lot of strangeness, so Remembrance would probably be better. If I remember right, there's a fantastic scene with the Doctor talking about tea...

Thanks for the rec. I think I've seen Fenric way back when, and I don't remember anything about it. (That could be good or bad.) But after Ghost Light I'm up for a more simple plot or just one that makes sense. Also I'm very tolerant of any Who involving Daleks, so that might be best.

I think Fenric is better but people seem to like Remembrance more? IT HAS DALEKS.

I am a very simple person, so Daleks make me happy. And everything better just by their wee plungers o'doom. Also it sounds like Fenric has a bit of a convuluted plot and after Ghost Light I fear Seven's plots.

I absolutely adore both. Fenric is the first Seventh Doctor adventure I really saw, to be honest, and got me hoocked on him (I wish there were more of his adventures out on DVD). It's got some good Ace stuff in there, some brilliant Doctor Stuff and of course, some good Ace/Doctor as some kinda family type relation ship, no no no not romantic.

It is a little bit, ah, odd though. No where near to the same extent as Ghost Light mind you, but still a bit odd. Personally, I think it makes far more sense, even if you don't get all the peaces till near the end it's far more coherent. I don't really wanna say too much cause it'd ruin the plot really (I'd end up describing how it all happens).

Remembrance though... I do like that adventure too. It has the Daleks, it has Davros, it has the scene which clearly proves that good ol' Rusty (aka the Dalek in the episode 'Dalek') was not the first of his kind to go up stairs. And this absolutely magnificent speach from the Doctor to Davros. Also, there's a few references that thow who've seen the first ever Doctor Who episode would get (though, doesn't matter if you don't).

So, they both have plot, to me they both make sense and they don't really strain anyone's acting skills. It's a hard choice.

Depends. Do you want Vampires (Fenric) or Daleks (Remembrance)? Or, if you're just going for the most straight foward... Remembrance (though that has a few twists to it also).

I'm not being much help, am i?

No worries about the typos! And thanks for the information, which was very helpful. Hmmm. I think after Ghost Light I'd rather avoid the odder episodes of Seven. And I am insanely tolerant of any episode with Daleks, so maybe that one would not be such a shock.

Neither Six (shamefully, one of my favourite Doctors and I am not quite sure I ever forgave Seven for replacing him) or Seven have much out on DVD. I think they've spent all their energy on Four and earlier Doctor DVDs.

Yeah, it's a shame. I rather like Six from what I've seen of him. Which is some of A Trial of a Time Lord, and The Two Doctors (which, I do love).

I can see why they'd do that, but I still want more of my Seven! He's not even My Doctor, but if I'd been only, oh, about five years older he would have been. Also, he's brill.

And, same goes for Six... the bloke gets more agro from fans than is really necissery I think.
