The Farm and Logic

Behind the cut are a bunch of plot/logic problems I had with The Farm. They may not be terribly insightful and perhaps I missed something that might have explained them but they were extensive enough that I didn't really feel the sense of fear and disgust that I think I was supposed to in that episode. Not that it really matters, but I wanted to write them all out. :-)
1. Why do the the Cylons nuke first and then set up a breeding programme. What about birth defects? What about wiping out most of the breeding stock?
2. Why run the breeding programme from Caprica or any of the planets in the first place? Wouldn't you be better doing it on a ship instead of a rickety old hospital?
3. Why shoot Starbuck? Wasn't there any other way to capture her and her magic eggs? Why shoot as she was leaving? Yes, the Cylons might be aiming to miss but La Resistance don't seem like massively good shots and there such things as ricochets and friendly fire.
4. Why trust Sharon when she says there are more breeding programmes? I mean, at this stage I wouldn't exactly be believing much that came out of her mouth, let alone a statement that meant you were about to leave a bunch of humans to be possibly killed by Cylons.
5. Why leave Anders behind with a transport to get the liberated women off the planet (suppossing he succeeds)? Could they have stolen another ship and left him the big one?
6. Seeing as Anders can't get off the planet, what is to stop the Cylons rounding up the women again?
7. Why would the Cylons think that 'be fruitful and multiply' mean contaminating their species with the genes of the species they'd wiped out?
8. Why doesn't Adama believe that religious belief is a stronge motivating force amongst the survivors, given that he used it to get the fleet to head for Earth in the fecking mini-series?
9. Why doesn't Adama see the fracturing of the fleet as a problem that should be addressed before trying to round up Roslin? It's kind of clear that sticking her in prison wasn't the best idea the first time, so why do it again.
10. Why do Starbuck and Helo trust Sharon not to be taking right to Cylon head command? I know that Helo and Sharon have a great love or something, but I'd expect Starbuck to be more wary. After all, she just had a Cylon lie to her quite convincingly.
ETA: What's behind the cut pretty much amounts to: being on Caprica must suck away IQ points. That explains everything.

Actually, I'm not so sure the plot demanded the whole baby farm and Resistance of Caprica thing, which is perhaps why I got so irked. I already know Starbuck is special and like her; I didn't need her to have exceptional ovaries as well!
