Yesterday I went to my first skating class and it was awesome. I had had a really rotten day and was completely shattered but I decided to drag me and my skates out there and it was so much fun. I didn't fall over! I remembered (sort of) some of the classes I had years ago, including the all important rule of bend your knees so you don't fall over backwards. There were quite a lot of us but they divided us into two groups; I decided to stay with the people that don't know nothing which I feel was a wise decision.

Sadly, today I think I am coming down with something; I am really exhausted and ache all over and not in the 'I just skated way.' You have no idea how much time it took me to do anything. I bet I am one very sad and grumpy camper as I teach tomorrow (for which I am still only half-prepared, woes)

Er, I was convinced that I had something really fun and interesting to say when I started this post, but I guess I was wrong. I am guessing you won't find it interesting that I somehow managed to consume half a packet of Jaffa Cakes, so that can't be it.

More, as more happens.

I love skating, though I'm not able to do it a lot. Have fun, and don't get too sore.

Feel better soon. I've had a cold that's lasted for over three weeks, and I just want it gone now.

Skating is great fun; I'm still at the beginning stage so hopefully not too much activity will mean I'm not too sore.

Thanks for the good wishes - I hope I am not coming down with the cold that has taken out a chunk of our department, but I think not as I feel a bit bouncier today.
