And while ex-convict is clearly a sociopath, he's their sociopath.* And his teaching people to handle a gun does not seem a terrible idea to me what with all the people out there trying to kill them.

ETA 2: But I will say ex-convict and lesbian doctor win some awards in the Clearly Fucked Up Relationship stakes.

* And clearly mad loyal to lesbian doctor. While they've got her, he's going to be on their side.

Well, in defense it appears the stupid stick also hit many of the bad guys too.

It is quite terrible, though I will say that it is good for female characters on the whole.

There's magic blood? I'm slightly intrigued, though not enough to actually watch the show. I am enjoying your flailing over it, and the ex-convict and lesbian doctor sound awesome.

The magic blood is...complicated. There are two people (mother and son) that have survived the flu as opposed to being immune to it. This drives a lot of the plot. Along with everyone's stupidity.

Ex-convict and lesbian doctor is s madly messed up and interesting, especially as she is a deep believer in the goodness of humanity and he just wants to shoot people. Especially the ones that upset her. It's all I have since hot Greg clearly will never do anything with Abby, mother of Peter, despite all their flirting.

I got disturbingly attached to the ex-convict sociopath. I figure, in a postapocalyptic world, probably I *would* want him as my BFF.

I agree. Clearly they are all (somewhat) safer with him, though I guess it would be tough for Anya what with the realisation that he would kill for her at the drop of a hat. Whether she wanted that or not.

Of course, seeing as most of the cast seems to have a desire to get killed as quickly as possible, perhaps safety is not what they're after.
