EEEE! I got Connie Willis' All Clear in the post today. And despite the fact that I have zero time (I was up at 4 this morning to mark bloody exams) I AM GOING TO READ IT.

Sounds like you've got your priorities straight to me.

I can hear it calling to me even now. I got through 90 pages last night before I collapsed in bed in a heap.

I got through about 90 pages before I had to crash. I am in terror of what she may do to everyone, though.

Oh, that sounds like a very interesting book. I'd be interested to know what you thought of it after you read it. (Ugg for 4am grading. I hope you were able to finish everything you needed to and are able to get more sleep tonight.)

I don't have to teach today so I did sleep in. But off now to work (at home though, which is much pleasanter).

A friend offered me several of her books for my birthday. Which one would you recommend first?

To Say Nothing of the Dog! It was the first I read and it hooked me (and it's the first in the 'series' (they're not really all that connected) that All Clear is part of.
