I did have a post I was going to make but it was all about the horror of that film Dungeons and Dragons so you should all count yourselves lucky that I'm not making it. (Really, Jeremy Irons, how much could you really need to cash?). All I will say is that given his choices I'm surprise Sean Bean didn't have a role somehow.

Christmas was nice but really busy. I had my sister in town and I could only take a few days off from trying to finish things that remain shamefully incomplete. They're slightly less incomplete now, so that's something.)

I hope you all had a lovely holiday even if you don't celebrate and that 2011 is a great year for all of you.

The D&D film was unspeakably awful. I had hoped going in that it would be so bad it's good. Sadly, no.

Well. I did enjoy the bit where the elf-friend fell to his death. That did make me laugh.

Bwah!

Glad you had a good holiday, even if a short one.

When Sean Bean is not in a terrible movie I feel lost. Though at a pinch I am content with Gerald Butler, Brendan Fraser and the guy who played Antony in Rome.

Happy New Year to you, too. :) It is surprising that Sean Bean wasn't in D&D. Maybe it was made before he became too well-known as an actor.

Yeah for you being able to see your sister and getting some things closer to being completed.

Or he was young and had less ex-wives to pay for? :)

Jeremy Irons has been in a lot of weird crap... I think there was a video game, too. I did wonder if he likes it; maybe it makes a nice change from playing restrained aching borderline evil guys to go for DRAGONS YAY! or something.

All I know is that I enjoyed him being deliciously evil and trying to look excited by CGI dragons!

Oh, I remember that movie. In theaters. It was shortly after that that I reconsidered my tendency to head for the theaters just because there was a movie with swords showing.

I, too, have made many poor cinema going choices for the same reason...
