Here's an interesting idea, a community reading Bram Stoker's Dracula letter by letter according to the dates on the letters. The community is here: http://community.livejournal.com/dracula1897/

Dracula is one of my favorite books, and this sounds like a great way to read the book. Why is it that they seem incapable of making a decent film of this book, which seems set up to be easily filmed? (Don't get me started on the Francis Ford Coppola version, with its breasts flying free and plenty and the added back story of Dracula and Mina Harker's one true love.)

Also, today I went to the chemists to get a prescription filled and it cost me $85. It's a tiny, tiny thing too. I am always astonished by the price of these things. At the cost they are they really should be made of the hair of one-legged virgins and ground together by wizened alchemists.

And random post to prove I watch more than Doctor Who: the new Office was sooo very good.

I agree. Last week my boyfriend needed a tooth pulled out and was in a lot of pain, so while he was waiting for his emergency appointment at the dentist, he was told to get some pain killers prescribed by a doctor. And they cost $50. Of course that afternoon he managed to get his emergency appointment, so he only ended up takiing one lot of the pills.

Expensive pill.

It's insane, isn't it? Especially when the medication doesn't work or you don't use it.
